EDITORIAL // 2013 Season

Anchored more than ever in fun, enjoyment and the spirit of sportsmanship, V de V Sports is designed for those with a passion for motorsport, enabling fine mechanics and drivers to gather with fans at the best European circuits.

Endurance races are the bedrock of the series, composed of three Challenges, whilst the sprint races have now been enriched by boasting two grids. V de V Sports’ aim since 1992 has been to limit costs through appropriate technical regulation, thereby opening up the competitions to the widest range of enthusiasts.

A new era is beginning with backing from Michelin for at least three seasons and the chance to create a benchmark international series, in compliance with both the FFSA and FIA regulations, known as the “V de V MICHELIN ENDURANCE SERIES”. The VHC Endurance Challenge is continuing to develop its grid of legendary machines through continual updating of the regulations.

With the fullest grid for the class in Europe, the GT/Touring Endurance Challenge attracts many drivers and teams with their impressive machinery, making it as popular as the Proto Endurance Challenge - the European benchmark among 2-litre Sports Prototype constructors and drivers.

The V de V Funyo Challenge is a single-make sprint competition that serves up hotly-contested races - pitting young hotshots against Gentlemen Drivers in Sport Prototypes that offer phenomenal value and fun for the money. The V de V Single-seater Challenge was established to enable enthusiasts of this type of car to get together and race in a spirit of fun and fair-play.

The Women’s Challenge is awarded to the women who form an increasing and welcome presence on the grid and a podium that is as talented as it is easy on the eye.
